QCC Welcomes New Staff

July 2016

We are very pleased to announce the addition of the following new staff members to Quinsigamond Community College:

On July 5, 2016, Academic Affairs welcomed Nathaniel Mello in to a new role as Learning Manager, Interactive Media Design. Mr. Mello brings to this position over three years of Interactive Media Design experience in an academic setting as an adjunct professor of Game Design at Becker College, and as a Technology Operations Specialist for the Hopedale Public Schools. Mr. Mello earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interactive Media from Becker College.

On July 11, 2016, Administrative Services welcomed Fawne Russell as Campus Police Officer I. Ms. Russell has been working at Quinsigamond Community College as a Communications Dispatcher I since February1, 2016. She brings to this position experience as a part-time police officer and dispatcher with the Princeton Police Department, and is First Responder, CPR and AED certified. Ms. Russell has attended the Massachusetts Basic Reserve/Intermittent Training Police Academy Program, which includes training in responding to Domestic Violence.  

On July 21, 2016, Administrative Services welcomed Paul Ledoux in to a new role as Reproduction Services Supervisor. Mr. Ledoux has been with the College and College Print Shop for over 15 years, starting out as an Offset Duplication Machine Operator II and working up to his most recent position as Graphic Arts Technician I. Mr. Ledoux earned a Certificate in Business Administration and an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration Career from Quinsigamond Community College.     

On July 25, 2016, Academic Affairs welcomed Dr. Linda Esper in to a new role as Director of Nurse Education. Dr. Esper brings to this position over 34 years of Academic and Administrative experience in an academic setting most recently as the Director of the Nursing Department and a Professor of Nursing at Becker College. She was also the Dean of Health Sciences at Becker College. Additionally, she has worked in clinical and educational roles in the private sector throughout Worcester County. Dr. Esper earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Urban Studies from Worcester State University, Registered Nurse degree from Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing from Anna Maria College, a Master in Business Administration from Anna Maria College and a Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from University of Hartford.

On July 25, 2016, Administrative Services welcomed Amanda Joaquin in to a new role as Communications Dispatcher I. Ms. Joaquin comes to the college with experience as an emergency dispatcher with the Hopkinton Police Department. Additionally, she has many years customer service experience in the private sector. Ms. Joaquin earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Becker College. She is also certified in Victim Assistance Training, Emergency Medical Dispatch, CPR, and Suicide Prevention.

On July 25, 2016, Administrative Services welcomed Larry Flowers in to a new role as Campus Police Officer I. Mr. Flowers brings to this position over 20  years of police experience in both a community college and municipal setting. Most recently, as a campus police officer I at Mount Wachusett Community College. Prior to that experience, he was a police officer in the Hawaii County Police Department and Worcester Police Department. Mr. Flowers earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political from University of Hawaii at Hilo and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Anna Maria College.
