Worcester, MA – February 18, 2014 – On Sunday,  February 23, Quinsigamond Community College will host the  annual Massachusetts FAFSA Day, a free event to provide assistance completing the FAFSA, a federally required form for all students seeking financial aid including grants, loans and Federal Work Study. The event will be held on the Worcester campus at 670 West Boylston Street, in the Hebert Auditorium at 1:00 p.m.

The services are free and available to anyone entering college for the 2014-2015 academic year; low-income, first-generation students are especially encouraged to attend.  QCC will have services available in Spanish.

The state-wide event is designed to help future students and their families understand the financial aid process and provide information on the availability of financial aid for college applicants. Financial Aid experts will be available to guide attendees through completing the FAFSA and answer any questions. Trained volunteers and translators will also be available to assist with the process.

The event is open to all area, college-bound students and their families, regardless of the college the student seeks to attend. Parents and students are encouraged to bring as much of the following information as possible to assist with completion of the FAFSA:
