Quinsigamond Community College Dental Hygiene Students to Support Boy Scout 100th Anniversary Celebration at DCU Center

Worcester, Ma – Students and faculty from the Quinsigamond Community College dental hygiene program will take part in the Boy Scouts 100th anniversary celebration this weekend at the DCU center by volunteering to take children’s teethprints and DNA swabs as part of the CHIPS program (Child Identification Program).

THE CHIPS program is sponsored by the Masons and provides tools to help law enforcement officers find and identify a lost or missing child. QCC dental hygiene students will take the teethprints and DNA cheekswabs of children at the event. All information and materials are given to the child’s family free of charge.

QCC expects to serve between 300 and 500 children over the course of the weekend. Dental students will be on hand Saturday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
