Tornado Memorial at QCC in Temporary Storage

Worcester, Ma – A significant amount of excavation on the campus of Quinsigamond Community College began in April necessitating moving Worcester County’s Tornado Memorial to a safe storage facility. The memorial stone will be relocated upon completion of all excavation work, which is leading to the building and paving of a new road circling internally around the entire campus.
A meeting with a number of the original members of the Tornado Memorial committee will be scheduled late in the summer. Members will be asked to assist the College in finding a permanent location on campus for the memorial. A rededication ceremony will be scheduled thereafter.
