QCC Professor Wins Statewide Award for E-Learning

WORCESTER, Mass. – Quinsigamond Community College  Professor Amy Beaudry of Worcester, was awarded a Course of Distinction Award at the Massachusetts Colleges Online (MCO) Conference on E-Learning, held June 12-13 at Middlesex Community College.

Course of Distinction Awards recognize faculty from around the state who have developed and teach innovative online courses.  Courses taught by the winning professors were selected from over 1000 courses offered through MCO, to receive the organization’s Course of Distinction Award.  Professor Beaudry won for her online Children’s Literature Course, which introduces students to the nature, variety, and artistry of children’s stories.

MCO is a consortium of the 15 community colleges and nine state colleges in Massachusetts.  The institutions collaborate to share their online courses, certificates, and degree programs with students throughout the state and beyond.  More information about MCO can be found at www.mco.mass.edu.
