QCC Names New Vice President for Academic Affairs

WORCESTER, Mass. – Quinsigamond Community College President Gail Carberry announced today Patricia Toney as the College’s new Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Toney has been QCC’s Interim Vice President for the past 17 months.   She will continue her responsibilities in planning and delivering quality educational programming and academic support services to QCC students, including fostering collaborations with other areas of the College as well as community, business, and educational leaders.

“Pat Toney’s impressive track record and experience, combined with her passion for Quinsigamond, will serve the College well, as we continue to grow QCC as Worcester’s 21st century community college,” said QCC President, Gail Carberry.

In her 24 years at Quinsigamond, Toney has served as Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor of English as a Second Language, High Risk Advisor, and Adjunct Faculty member.  She has extensive leadership, curriculum development, and grant writing experience.  Most recently, Toney led the effort to develop partnerships with Worcester Technical High School and North High School, and create articulation agreements with other higher education institutions, including Boston College’s Metropolitan School and American International College.
