QCC Physics Professor Welcomes Magician-Alum For Class Lesson

In a unique twist on his usual physics lesson, QCC Professor Bob Gillies of the Electronics and Mathematics Department will bring QCC alum Scott Dezrah Blinn, a local successful magician and entertainer, to his class as part of his lesson to students on the “physics of magic.”
Blinn visited Gillies’ class last year as well, and the event was a huge success. On Thursday, students will watch Blinn perform several sets of magic, including psychic and metal bending tricks, and then apply their classroom knowledge to explain and talk about how magic is done. Blinn’s presentation will last 30 to 40 minutes, with a question and answer session to follow.
