COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.(NJCAA) and WORCESTER, MA – Quinsigamond Community College’s  Elijah Sims has been named NJCAA Men's Division III Basketball Player of the Week for contests ending Jan. 20.   Sims, a 5-10 guard Worcester, Mass., scored 68 points to go along with 15 rebounds, 14 assists and 10 steals to lead Quinsigamond to two victories over Region 21 foes last week. On Jan. 17, Sims scored 28 points (24 of which came in the second half) and pulled down seven rebounds to go along with seven assists and four steals in a 75-70 win over Springfield Technical Community College (Mass.). Just 24 hours later he scored a career-high 40 points in a 92-88 victory over Massasoit Community College (Mass.). He also contributed eight rebounds, seven steals and six steals.

For the season, Sims is averaging 20 points per game, 7.5 rebs per game, 7.5 assists per game, and 6 steals per game.
