A/V Technician II
James Duszlak is the lead technician of the Media Services Department.
After a brief period of part-time employment in Media Services, James Duszlak became full-time in May, 2008. His educational background include: interning for radio stations while earning his degree from a hands-on program, which included shooting video footage, recording audio, linear and non-linear editing for video and audio, lighting, and graphic design.
Along with his educational experience, James brings skills from his previous employment history in Freelance A/V Production, photography, and as an A/V & IT Technician for another college.
James attends annual A/V conferences/trade shows around the country, in addition to local training and conferences throughout the year, where he pursues his education and maintains his certification as a Certified Technology Specialist.
His duties include:
- Managing the A/V designs and installation projects for the college’s classrooms, meeting rooms, and specialty rooms.
- Part of the QCC Special Events Team, where he is responsible for scheduling and coordinating A/V details for events occurring on QCC campuses.
- Managing the Media Services' Production Services, which includes all aspects of audio/video production.
- Managing the equipment checkout process, equipment surplus/worthless inventory, and purchasing equipment and supplies.
