Unlock your Potential in Today's Manufacturing World!
Mass-TEC, a collaboration of Quinsigamond Community College and its partners, was formed to educate teachers, guidance counselors, career advisors, and families on career pathways to advanced manufacturing in central Massachusetts.
Technology Drives Today's Manufacturing
Today's manufacturing is driven by technology – things like advanced computer hardware, enterprise-wide systems software, electronics and robotic automation. This technology improves yields, quality and ultimately, the bottom line for a company. A dependence on technology also means a need for more technically-oriented and creative employees to perform a variety of jobs.
Manufacturing is again viable in Central Massachusetts and Mass-TEC and its partners are here to help promote this important economic sector.
To quote a recent informational post by the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council about the biopharma manufacturing subsector wellness in Massachusetts:
"Massachusetts is at the center of the region with the greatest biologics manufacturing capacity in the world – with 300,000 liters of cell culture manufacturing capacity. Of the top 11 biopharma manufacturing states, Massachusetts was one of just four which added manufacturing jobs in the last decade."
