Scholarships available through the QCC Foundation

  • Amy H. Carberry Scholarship: Awarded to an exemplary student with demonstrated financial need who is studying the arts or participating in arts activities.
  • Ann R. Carroll Scholarship: Established by QCC to recognize Ann Carroll’s 25 years of distinguished service to the College. Ms. Carroll retired as Vice President of Enrollment and Student Services. Awarded to a student leader involved in QCC Athletics or an approved QCC Student Club or Activity.
  • Aram and Mary Tashjian Scholarship: Awarded annually in the fall and spring to a deserving QCC student in the Human Services program or pursuing Psychology or Social Sciences.
  • Captain James McDonald Scholarship: Awarded to a student in the fire science program who graduated from a Worcester Public High School.
  • Carmen Tobin Nursing Scholarship: In memory of Carmen Tobin who graduated from the Quinsigamond Community College Nursing Program this scholarship is administered by the Greater Worcester Community Foundation and is awarded each year to assist students in achieving their Nursing degree. A separate application must be submitted to the Greater Worcester Community Foundation.
  • Carol Lawson Memorial Scholarship: Established in memory of Carol Lawson who served as the Director of the QCC Children's School from 1991 to 2000. The award is given each spring to a student in the Early Childhood Education program.
  • Dental Hygiene Scholarship: Awarded to dental hygiene students.
  • Dr. and Mrs. Michael Theerman Scholarship: Awarded to a student in the health professions.
  • Dr. Roger S & Mary E LaBonte Scholarship: In memory of Anna (Boehnke) LaBonte, a self educated immigrant to the United States in the 20th Century who was unable to obtain a formal education due to societal limitations of her times, which left many immigrants and citizens alike discriminated against. Preference is given to students who are in a health care program, a single parent, in a minority population. 
  • Fairlawn Foundation Scholarship: Scholarships from the Fairlawn Foundation (offered through the Worcester Nursing Pipeline Consortium — WNPC) support nursing students who have demonstrated a commitment to improving the health of residents in the Worcester area through employment, clinical practice, and/or community service in Worcester, Massachusetts with plans to sustain that commitment upon the completion of their current nursing studies.
  • Faith L. Crotty Scholarship: Awarded to a nursing student in honor of Faith Crotty.
  • The Francis A. and Jacquelyn H. Harrington Foundation Scholarship: Awarded for credit and non-credit coursework for residents in Main South Worcester.
  • Fuller Foundation Scholarship: The Fuller Foundation has donated funds to assist non-traditional students with high academic achievement and financial need.
  • Hermann Foundation Scholarship: Awarded to student with financial need and academic achievement.
  • J. Allan Chupka Memorial Scholarship: Established in the memory of J. Allan Chupka, who served as Registrar and later as Chairperson of the Business Department at Quinsigamond Community College. This scholarship is open to all full-time students at Quinsigamond Community College. The award is based on academic achievement and financial need.
  • Jeanne Remillard Curtis Nursing Scholarship: Awarded to students enrolled in the nursing program. Selection made by the Nursing Department.
  • Kathleen Griffin Jennings Nursing Scholarship: Awarded to a non-traditional nursing student in the Nursing Education program with demonstrated financial need.
  • Luzviminda Dy Recla Scholarship: Awarded to an Engineering Student with financial need.
  • Maykel Family Scholarship: Awarded to a dental hygiene student.
  • Nancy Ohan Memorial Award: This award is given to a student who has demonstrated significant personal as well as academic growth during their time in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Nancy Ohan was one of the first graduates of the OTA program at Quinsigamond Community College. After graduation she worked as secretary to the department and then assumed the job of Academic Fieldwork Coordinator. She returned to QCC in the early 1980's as an instructor in the OTA program and remained until her death in 1996. 
  • Patricia Lamusta Memorial Scholarship: Established in memory of Patricia Lamusta, who served as a secretary in the Registrar's Office at Quinsigamond Community College. Open to students in the Business Administration Career degree or Business Support Specialist certificate programs. 
  • Professor Paul Rossman History/Political Science Memorial Award: Awarded to a student who is passionate about Political Science or History and has a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Radiologic Technology Scholarship: Awarded to radiologic technology students.
  • Reach Out for Schools Textbook Scholarship: Awarded to full-time students with financial need with a GPA of 2.7 or higher.
  • Robert Mortell Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to a student in either the Fire Science, Criminal Justice or Emergency Medical Services programs who have high academic achievement and financial need.
  • Roland Lajoie Scholarship: Established in memory of faculty member Roland Lajoie. This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in a humanities or social sciences academic program. The student must have completed 12 credits, maintained a 3.0 GPA or better and demonstrate financial need.
  • Rose Caprioli Award: This award is given to the Occupational Therapy Assistant student who consistently demonstrates excellence both in the classroom and in the clinical setting. Honoring Rose Caprioli who taught in the OTA program at QCC for many years and was Academic Field Coordinator for much of that time. She encouraged excellence in clinical practice and supported the students in their clinical experiences on fieldwork. 
  • Ruth C. Pelkey Memorial Nursing Scholarship: Awarded in the fall and the spring of each academic year to a prospective QCC Nursing IV student.
  • Theresa Wooldridge Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to a Radiologic Technology student who has completed one year of the program. 
  • Sharon Kerr Richardson Scholarship: Awarded to a Dental Hygiene student with financial need.
  • Smelewicz Scholarship: Awarded to students in the CIS department
  • United Parcel Service (UPS) Scholarship: Awarded to students with high academic performance and financial need.
  • Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Scholarship/Claire E. Hayes RN Scholarship: Awarded to a full or part-time nursing student who is (a) a graduate of Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing, (b) a son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, niece or nephew of a graduate of Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing, (c) a resident of Worcester or Worcester County, (d) GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Worcester Rotary Club Scholarship: Awarded to a non-traditional student
