Quinsigamond Community College is a place of opportunity. We have a policy of open admission; all students who possess the desire to pursue higher education are welcome.
For many students the desire to learn is not enough. Financial aid assists many students in meeting their tuition and fee obligations, but scholarships can make the critical difference for many students each year. If a scholarship could increase your chances of successfully completing a course of study at QCC, please consider applying.
Many scholarships awarded through the QCC Foundation each year are funded by the generosity of scholarship donors, QCC alumni and other friends of the college. Students who receive a scholarship are required to write a letter of thanks to the donor who created the award letting them know the impact the scholarship has had on their academic career. Students will also be invited to attend an annual scholarship luncheon with donors. The Office of Community Connections will gladly work with each scholarship recipient to ensure that each donor is properly thanked.
Who Can Apply?
The QCC Foundation Scholarship program awards students for academic achievement and considerable financial need (barriers). Students may earn a scholarship based on financial constraints, academic excellence, outstanding merit, service to the College and community or a combination of these factors. Returning students are encouraged to apply for scholarships and both degree and certificate-track students will be considered. Scholarships may be awarded to full-time or part-time students. A GPA of 2.5 or better is required. If your GPA is not a minimum of 2.5 please tell us why in the applicable section of the application. QCC must be the student’s home school to be eligible to receive a scholarship. New, incoming freshmen are also welcome to apply.
Students in all programs except for Nursing are welcome to apply. The Nursing Department announces its Scholarship Application process during the fall and spring semesters, and applications for nursing student scholarships will be available outside the classrooms.
When can you apply?
The deadline has past for scholarships awarded for the Spring 2018 semester. Check back in late April/early May to apply for the Fall 2018 awards. Completed applications will be reviewed by the QCC Foundation Scholarship Committee.
How do you apply?
Applications for non-nursing program students are now completed and submitted online, no more paper applications. Please go to the QCC Foundation awardspring website, create an account, and then complete and submit your applications.
Please contact foundationscholarships [at] qcc.mass.edu if you have any problems with the application website.
