Betsy Hampton is the Vice President of Population Health for Reliant Medical Group She is responsible for guiding operational performance improvement to support Reliant’s organization to fulfill their medical and risk management responsibilities. In addition, Ms. Hampton responsible for the continuous improvement of medical management and effective implementation of operational and programmatic interventions designed to support resource stewardship efforts. In her role has led the organization in building an infrastructure to respond to payment reform and global risk. Key strengths are to recognize the critical linkage between organization efforts to improve quality, reduce risk and reduce unnecessary and preventable resource expenditures.
Prior to joining Reliant Medical Group, Ms. Hampton had executive oversight Medicaid programs in New Hampshire and Maine and designed and implemented a federal and state integrated health plan in Massachusetts. Ms. Hampton also has extensive experience in the oversight, management and delivery of health care services. She is well-versed in healthcare policy, managed care, Medicaid and Medicare population management, medical management, quality management, and performance improvement.
Ms. Hampton’s professional interests include improving women’s cardiovascular health and improving cultural competency in the delivery of health care. She received her MBA and BA degrees in business administration from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia and Nursing degree from the University of Hawaii. Ms. Hampton became a member of the QCC Foundation Board in January of 2016.
