The finalists will each spend time on campus meeting with faculty, staff and student representatives, senior college leaders, the Board of Trustees, and the Commissioner of the Board of Higher Education. Schedule

All members of the QCC community are invited to meet with the four finalists during a series of Open Forums. The forums will be open to the public and allow time for participants to ask questions of the finalists.

Anyone who attends the sessions will be provided with a URL link to a survey through which members of the QCC community can offer their feedback on the candidates to the Board prior to their recommendation of QCC’s next president.

Update 2/14/17:  On behalf of the Search Committee and the Board of Trustees, I want to inform everyone that the search is going well.  The application deadline passed on February 3, 2017 and the Search Committee met on February 10, 2017 to select the semi-finalists. I am happy to report we have a very strong & diverse pool of semi-finalists and look forward to the first phase of interviews.  Once the semi-finalists are narrowed down to the finalists by the Search Committee, the finalists will be invited to the campus for meet and greets and interviews.  Tentatively, we hope to conduct the finalist interviews the weeks of March 6th and March 20th, working around QCC’s Spring Break.

Update 12/5/16: The Board of Trustees has approved the presidential search position profile and advertisement, which are now available. The profile is posted below, and the advertisement can be viewed here.

Using the feedback received in the forums that were held on November 1-2, 2016, as well as subsequent feedback provided by constituents through the presidential search website and through follow-up emails, Dr. Eric Richtmyer and Dr. Shirley Pippins prepared the detailed position profile. The Search Committee provided extensive additional input and feedback in finalizing the profile.

Please feel free to share the profile and advertisement with any potential candidates that you may know. Nominations, applications and expressions of interest can be made in confidence by contacting Dr. Richtmyer and Dr. Pippins directly at Quinsigamond [at] academic-search.com, or by calling 202.332.4049.

Between now and February 2017, the search firm and the Search Committee will collaborate on the confidential work of the search process as committee members review and evaluate applications. We hope to bring finalists for campus visits in March 2017. More information regarding participation in the on-campus interviews by the Quinsigamond community will be shared as the interview dates approach.
The next planned update on the search process will be made in the Spring semester. It will provide a general progress report and an update on the search timeline.

Update 11/8/16: On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the Presidential Search Committee, I would like to thank everyone who was able to participate in last week’s sessions with Dr. Shirley Pippins and Dr. Eric Richtmyer from Academic Search, Inc., the firm that we have retained to assist us in our search for the next president of Quinsigamond Community College. The sessions were very helpful for the consultants, the Board, and the Search Committee, and will inform our work as we begin crafting the search profile and related advertisements.

If you were unable to participate in the sessions and would like to suggest characteristics or attributes that should be considered for this search, you may do so by completing the survey below. Alternately, you may also reach out to our consultants directly at srp [at] academic-search.com and ewr [at] academic-search.com.

As we move forward with the search we will continue to provide periodic updates about the process on this dedicated website. After the Search Committee has finalized the position profile, Academic Search will begin its advertising and recruitment on a national scale. The search process will include public meetings on campus with the finalists for the position, which are likely to occur before Spring Break in 2017.
